The special trains will operate from December 27 to January 1 to handle the surge in passenger traffic during the holiday period, as stated by Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Jammu Division, Uchit Singhal.

As per officials, a special reserved train will run from New Delhi to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra from December 27 to December 31 (five trips). Similarly, another special reserved train will travel from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra to New Delhi from December 28 to January 1 (five trips). Singhal noted that these special trains have been introduced to address the rising influx of tourists visiting Jammu and Kashmir and to fulfill the travel needs of local residents during this festive season.
”These services will assist passengers in connecting with their families and effectively managing the New Year rush,” he remarked, adding that the trains will operate with 16 coaches.

Travelers can book tickets via the official Indian Railways website, mobile app, or through authorized agents, he advised, urging travelers to verify train schedules before setting out on their journeys.
