US Marine forces stationed at Bubiyan Island in Kuwait came under attack from Iran, resulting in casualties among American troops, as reported by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and CNN-News18.
In a video statement, Iran’s military spokesperson Ebrahim Zolfaghari announced that Tehran executed a coordinated drone and missile strike aimed at US personnel, emphasizing that this is part of a larger effort to remove American troops from the region. He urged for the “complete removal of US soldiers from the land of Muslims,” according to CNN-News18.
In a separate incident, multiple US service members sustained injuries during an Iranian ballistic missile strike early Saturday, as reported by the Wall Street Journal, citing US and Saudi officials.
These attacks took place at the Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia.
The Pentagon has not yet responded to either attack.
