iQOO Neo 10 Review: A Well-Equipped Mid-Range Powerhouse
iQOO has unveiled the Neo 10, its latest addition to the mid-range smartphone market, just a few months after launching the Neo 10R. This device boasts significant upgrades, including Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, a massive 7,000 mAh battery, 120W fast charging, and AI-enhanced functionalities — all priced under ₹35,000.

Design and build

The Neo 10 comes in Inferno Red, featuring a design similar to the Neo 10R. However, the Neo 10 is heavier, likely due to its larger battery. The dual-camera setup and matte finish create a balanced and functional appearance. It includes a punch-hole front camera, an under-display fingerprint scanner, and an IP65 rating for dust and splash resistance, enhancing its overall durability. The power button and volume controls are located on the right, while the bottom houses a USB-C port and speaker, with a secondary microphone positioned at the top.
Display

It sports a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2800×1260 (1.5K) and a 144Hz refresh rate. With a peak local brightness of 5,500 nits and a high brightness mode of 2,000 nits, visibility in direct sunlight is excellent. The screen is also equipped with a 3,000Hz touch sampling rate, ensuring a responsive experience during gaming. The Neo 10’s display is on par with the Realme GT 7, offering comparable brightness and refresh rates.

Software and AI features

The Neo 10 operates on Android 15 with Funtouch OS, which has been optimized to reduce bloatware and enhance user experience. Key AI tools include Circle to Search, AI Image Expander, Live Call Translation, AI Cut Out, and AI Note Assist — features usually found in higher-end models. These additions boost productivity and enrich the user experience.

Performance

Driven by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, the reviewed top-spec variant features 16GB RAM and 512GB of storage. The device excels in multitasking, video playback, and gaming performance. It incorporates a 7K Ultra VC cooling system with a graphite film and thermal gel covering 27,000 mm² for effective thermal management.

Benchmark tests yielded a Geekbench score of 2,121 (single-core) and 7,032 (multi-core), alongside an AnTuTu score of 2,084,242. These results are competitive with the Realme GT 7, showcasing strong performance. During testing, the phone maintained 144fps while running BGMI, encountering no heating or lag, supported by features like the All-Scenario Fast Engine and Super Gyroscope.

Camera

The rear camera configuration includes a 50MP Sony portrait sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide lens, complemented by a 32MP front-facing camera. In bright conditions, photos are sharp and well-balanced, enhanced by the NICE algorithm. Portrait shots show good edge detection and pleasing bokeh, accurately capturing facial details and skin tones.

In low-light or indoor conditions, the Night Mode delivers balanced exposures and minimizes noise. Selfie quality is consistent across varying lighting, with little post-processing, making it suitable for both casual and professional imagery.

Battery life and charging

With its 7,000 mAh battery, the Neo 10 offers up to two days of use under typical conditions, including gaming and media playback. The 120W fast charger gets the device from 0 to 50% in about 15 minutes and fully charges it in 40-45 minutes, in line with the Realme GT 7. Compared to the Neo 10R, notable improvements in battery capacity and charging speed are evident.

Conclusion

Starting at ₹31,999, the iQOO Neo 10 packs several flagship-like features into the mid-range segment. It offers robust performance, impressive battery life, a responsive display, and thoughtful AI integration. While the Realme GT 7 may provide slightly more camera versatility and peak brightness, the Neo 10 matches it in processing prowess and gaming performance.

For users looking for a device that prioritizes speed, longevity, and intelligent features, the iQOO Neo 10 is a compelling option in the sub-₹35,000 market.
