Vijay Sales has introduced a limited-time discount on the Apple iPhone 16 Plus, bringing the effective price to ₹71,890, which represents a direct discount of 10% off the MRP of ₹79,900.

Customers choosing EMI payments through ICICI Bank or Axis Bank credit cards can enjoy an additional ₹5,000 off, while holders of American Express Card EMI are eligible for an extra 7.5% discount up to ₹7,500.

As per the retailer’s listing, this offer is valid for the 6.7-inch iPhone 16 Plus, featuring Apple’s A18 processor and supporting Apple Intelligence capabilities. It includes a 48MP primary camera and a 12MP ultra-wide lens at the back, while the front camera boasts a 12MP sensor for selfies and video calls.

Apple asserts that users can achieve up to 27 hours of video playback on a single charge. Additionally, it has an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.

This offer makes the iPhone 16 Plus a more budget-friendly option for those seeking a large-display device with long battery life; however, the discounts depend on stock availability and transaction terms from banks and are valid only for a limited period.

The iPhone Play in 2025

The iPhone 16 (base model) was the top-selling iPhone in India for 2025, with approximately 6.5 million units sold in the first 11 months. Total iPhone shipments for the year were around 14 million units, allowing Apple to capture a record market share of 9%, up from 7% in 2024, according to Counterpoint Research.

Apple showcased India as a key market, highlighting record high revenues, upgrades, and a growing active install base.

In addition to shipments, Apple expanded its manufacturing footprint, opened new retail locations—including its fifth store in Noida—and introduced services with more affordable subscriptions, like Apple Creator Studio priced at ₹399 per month.

This strong performance occurred despite a stagnant overall smartphone market in India, which has remained flat at around 152–153 million units for the fourth consecutive year.
