At least 10 flights have been canceled from Delhi today due to low visibility, according to authorities at Indira Gandhi International Airport.
Additionally, the foggy conditions are likely to affect road traffic, leading to slower movement and longer travel times for passengers heading to the airports. Travelers with early-morning departures have been advised to allow extra time for their journeys.
The airline has encouraged passengers to check the most recent flight status on the airline’s website or mobile application before departing from home to minimize inconvenience.
Visibility is anticipated to gradually improve throughout the day. The airline expressed gratitude to passengers for their patience and ongoing cooperation as operations proceed under low-visibility conditions.
On December 15, dense fog interfered with flight operations at Delhi Airport, resulting in 228 flight cancellations and five diversions to nearby airports due to low visibility. “So far, 228 flights — 131 departures and 97 arrivals — have been canceled due to low visibility,” an airport official reported.
Delhi airport stands as the busiest in the country, managing around 1,300 flight movements each day.
