India’s highly awaited match against Pakistan in the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 is set to take place at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on October 5, as confirmed by the ICC on Monday. The venue has been designated as a neutral site under the hybrid model approved earlier this year, following India’s decision to refrain from traveling to Pakistan for ICC events.
India will kick off their World Cup journey against Sri Lanka in Bengaluru on September 30 and will also compete against Bangladesh at the same venue on October 26. This puts an end to rumors that Bengaluru might lose its hosting privileges after the recent stampede during the Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s victory celebrations.
India’s additional matches include a face-off against South Africa on October 9 and another against Australia on October 12 in Visakhapatnam.
Following that, India will travel to Indore to battle England on October 19 and then head to Guwahati to challenge New Zealand on October 23.
Australia enters the tournament as the defending champion, while India aims for their first title victory.
