This three-day political gathering is being held in Kadapa for the first time, transforming the city into a vibrant sea of yellow with banners and flex boards adorning the streets.
TDP national president and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu arrived on Monday (May 26) night via a special flight, while the party’s national general secretary and minister Nara Lokesh traveled by road from Kuppam.
For the last four days, a dedicated team of ministers and senior leaders has been in Kadapa, diligently overseeing and finalizing preparations.
The Mahanadu will act as a strategic platform to assess the government’s achievements over the past year and strategize responses to what the party refers to as a misinformation campaign by the YSRCP. A major highlight will be the announcement of a special action plan for the development of Rayalaseema, along with an in-depth discussion on the Rayalaseema Declaration introduced by Lokesh during his Yuvagalam padayatra.
The event began at 8:30 am with delegate registrations, followed by ceremonial activities that included flag hoisting, a blood donation camp, floral tributes to party founder NT Rama Rao, and honoring deceased party workers.
With over 23,000 delegates anticipated, senior leaders will provide insights on the party’s organizational structure, guiding principles, and future trajectory.
Day 2 will focus on resolutions related to development and welfare programs, featuring 14 specific resolutions for Andhra Pradesh, five for strengthening the party in Telangana, and four joint resolutions to be discussed and ratified.
The Mahanadu will wrap up on Thursday (May 29) with a grand public rally expected to attract around five lakh attendees, showcasing a significant display of strength for the party in the region.
