GMR Airports Reports Record 10 Million Passengers Across the Country in May Despite Delhi Challenges

GMR Airports Limited announced on Tuesday (June 17) that it managed to accommodate over one crore passengers across its airport network in May 2025, reflecting a slight year-on-year (YoY) increase of 0.8%.

This growth was primarily fueled by a 2.9% boost in international passenger numbers, whereas domestic traffic saw only a marginal rise of 0.1% due to operational challenges. The total aircraft movements (ATMs) for the month reached 64,931, marking a 6.3% YoY growth.

In spite of temporary challenges, including restricted flight operations at Delhi airport from May 6-20 due to enhanced security protocols and modified airspace conditions associated with a significant geopolitical event, Delhi airport reported its highest year-to-date (YTD) passenger and ATM figures in FY26. Passenger traffic at Delhi hit 12.9 million, representing a YoY rise of 0.8%, while ATMs increased by 3.5% YoY to 0.77 lakh.
