Morocco Wins the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025 Title with a 3-2 Victory Against Jordan
The inaugural FIFA Women’s Champions Cup is transforming women’s club football and is poised to uphold this momentum by introducing unprecedented prize money that firmly positions the tournament among the elite competitions globally. The club that secures the brand-new FIFA Women’s Champions Cup Trophy in 2026 will be awarded USD 2.3 million, while the runners-up will receive USD 1 million, setting a new standard for the sport.

In addition to the prize money for the finalists, both teams eliminated in the semi-finals will be granted USD 200,000 each in participation payments. Meanwhile, the two clubs knocked out in Round 1 and Round 2 – the OFC representatives Auckland United FC from New Zealand and the AFC representatives Wuhan Chegu Jiangda WFC from China PR – will each obtain USD 100,000.

“A total payout close to USD 4 million allocated among the six teams based on their performance underscores the belief in women’s club football and the players, teams, and competitions propelling its growth,” remarked FIFA Secretary General Mattias Grafström.
“It showcases the global expansion of the women’s game and FIFA’s dedication to making impactful investments that reinforce women’s club football for the long term. Our objective remains straightforward: to keep investing in, expanding, and elevating women’s club football at every level – ensuring that opportunity, visibility, and value keep pace with the remarkable performances observed on the field.”

The FIFA Women’s Champions Cup 2026 is part of a comprehensive strategy of investment and collaboration to bolster women’s club football worldwide. After the completion of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023, USD 11.3 million was distributed to 1,041 clubs across the globe via the FIFA Club Benefits Programme.

These initiatives are further enhanced by the improvement of the Women’s International Match Calendar through structural reforms and the launch of new elite club competitions, including the FIFA Women’s Champions Cup and the FIFA Women’s Club World Cup, which will debut in 2028. The latter will introduce a series of innovative measures from the outset – such as training compensation, club solidarity mechanisms, and minimum standards programs – aimed at elevating club performance globally and ensuring the long-term sustainability of the women’s club game.
