Dreyer mentioned in her post that the Starlink India website is not yet active, and the pricing for services in India has not been revealed. Additionally, the company is currently not accepting orders from Indian customers, she added.
The Starlink India website is not live, service pricing for customers in India has not yet been announced, and we are not taking orders from customers in India.
There was a config glitch that briefly made dummy test data visible, but those numbers do not reflect what the cost… https://t.co/TU8cUjcYGL— Lauren Dreyer (@LaurenDreyer) December 8, 2025
In July of this year, Elon Musk’s Starlink received a five-year regulatory permit to operate in India.
According to the pricing displayed due to the “glitch,” the household plan was indicated to cost ₹8,600 per month, while the necessary hardware kit, which includes the satellite dish, router, and related equipment, was quoted at ₹34,000, as shown on the dummy website on Monday.
A 30-day trial period was also expected, alongside unlimited bandwidth for new customers.
As per Starlink’s website, the services are designed to be ‘weather resilient,’ ensuring over 99.9% uptime for an uninterrupted internet experience. Users will enjoy a ‘plug-and-play’ setup that facilitates easy internet access once the hardware is installed without complicated configurations.
“We’re excited to connect the people of India with Starlink’s high-speed internet, and our teams are working diligently to secure final government approvals to activate the service (and the website),” Dreyer stated in her post.
