This new year-end feature is an optional, tailored review for 2025, focusing on key conversation themes. It is designed to be user-friendly and privacy-conscious, providing a unique experience for each individual.
In a blog post on December 23, the artificial intelligence organization stated, “Your Year with ChatGPT is an optional personalised end-of-year experience that reflects on how you used ChatGPT
in 2025 and highlights significant themes from your conversations.”
Currently, it is accessible to Free, Plus, and Pro users in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, as well as Go, Plus, and Pro users in India. This feature is unavailable for Team, Enterprise, or Education accounts.
If you meet the eligibility criteria, Your Year with ChatGPT will be accessible as a home screen entry on iOS, Android, and the web. Alternatively, you can initiate the experience by directly asking ChatGPT for your year in review.
Participation in this new experience is entirely optional. If you qualify, you can choose to activate it from your home screen; it will not commence automatically.
To qualify for this new feature, you must:
Reference Saved Memories: This setting needs to be activated.
Reference Chat History: This setting must be enabled.
Minimum Activity: You need to have achieved a certain level of conversation activity throughout 2025.
“Your Year with ChatGPT” is available to eligible users for a limited period. Once you access the experience, you can revisit it anytime as a conversation with ChatGPT. However, if you decide to delete it, it will be permanently purged from OpenAI’s systems within 30 days.
You may not see the experience if your Memory or Chat History settings are off, if you haven’t met the minimum conversation activity requirement, or if you are using a Team, Enterprise, or Education account. Additionally, the feature might still be in the process of being rolled out to your specific account, or you may reside in an unsupported country; however, lacking access to the review does not affect your usual usage of ChatGPT.
