CEC Gyanesh Kumar to Engage with Booth-Level Officials During Odisha Trip Before Electoral Roll Update
Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar is set to meet with a group of booth-level officers (BLOs) on December 29 during his three-day visit to Odisha starting Saturday, according to official sources.

While the agenda for the CEC’s meeting with the BLOs has not been disclosed, sources mentioned on Friday that Kumar is expected to connect with some of the officers to assess their sentiments before the launch of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) initiative for electoral rolls in the state.

Official sources indicated that there are more than 45,000 BLOs across the state, and Kumar will address approximately 700 of them at the Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) auditorium at 3 pm on Monday.
BLOs play a crucial role in the SIR process, as they will distribute and collect enumeration forms (EF) from voters through house-to-house outreach.

His schedule for Sunday includes visits to the heritage village Raghurajpur, Dhauli Shanti Stupa, Khandagiri and Udayagiri caves, and the Mukteswar temple.

He is set to leave Bhubaneswar later that night, as per the official.
