From April 7 to May 31, the airline will introduce a third daily flight from Delhi to London Heathrow, and additionally, there will be a third daily flight from Mumbai to London Heathrow from May 15 to 31, according to a release on Thursday, March 26.
“The airline is augmenting short-term capacity on these routes to cater to robust demand and offer customers greater choices and flexibility when traveling between India, the UK, and beyond,” it stated.
With this extra capacity, British Airways will conduct up to 63 weekly flights, providing more than 1,000 additional seats each week between India and the UK.
Neil Chernoff, Chief Planning and Strategy Officer at British Airways, remarked that the airline has successfully reallocated additional capacity to accommodate strong demand across its route network, emphasizing that India continues to be one of its key global markets.
