”This contract spans three years and underscores the IPL’s international allure,” a BCCI official commented to PTI.
Last year, the BCCI sought a new jersey sponsor after the Indian government prohibited real money gaming platforms like Dream11. Tata Group currently holds the title sponsorship rights for the IPL, which is the largest T20 league globally.
The recent sponsorship deal with Gemini highlights the increasing interest of AI platforms in Indian cricket.
In November, when ChatGPT’s association with the WPL was announced, BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia discussed the importance of the partnership.
”With global leaders in AI, manufacturing, and beverages alongside trusted Indian consumer brands, this diverse partnership will significantly enhance the fan experience and foster the growth of women’s cricket,” he stated.
The IPL 2026 is scheduled to take place from March 26 to May 31.
