Apple marks its 50th anniversary with the launch of a mural at Apple BKC, Mumbai, highlighting sound and visuals.
As Apple celebrates its 50-year anniversary worldwide, the company hosted a cultural event in India at Apple BKC, showcasing the unveiling of a commissioned mural along with a program that intertwined sound and visual artistry.

The gathering brought together artists, musicians, and creators, emphasizing contemporary trends in creative practices instead of a retrospective on the company’s past.

The program commenced with Mumbai-based artist Mira Felicia Malhotra revealing a mural specifically crafted for this occasion. Her artwork embodies a blend of feminist themes and pop culture influences.
Following this, a panel discussion took place featuring Malhotra and singer-songwriter Anuv Jain. They explored the connections between sound and visual storytelling, as well as how creators are merging various disciplines. Jain, who draws inspiration from personal experiences, previously remarked, “Everything that I’ve written so far is taken from my life,” a sentiment referenced during their conversation.

Actor Rohit Saraf also attended the event, sharing a personal story about his late father’s iPod, highlighting that the device continues to function after more than two decades, underscoring the enduring personal value of technology.

This event was part of Apple’s larger 50-year milestone celebration, focusing on the role of technology in fostering creative endeavors.

Additionally, Apple CEO Tim Cook stated, “When you really stop and pause and think about the last 50 years, it makes your heart sing.”
