During the quarter, the company completed the Mumbai HVDC Project, enhancing the city’s transmission capacity by 1,000 MW. This initiative supports increasing peak demand while bolstering grid reliability and contributing to climate action efforts.
Adani Energy Solutions also won a new project aimed at expanding the network for power distribution at the South Kalamb substation, bringing the total transmission network to 27,949 circuit kilometres. The average system availability held steady at 99.77% for the quarter.

In its distribution segment, Adani Electricity Mumbai Ltd (AEML) reported a distribution loss of 4.20% in Q4 FY26, down from 4.31% in the same period last year. Supply reliability reached 99.997%. Metrics for system reliability, including SAIDI (System Average Interruption Duration Index) and SAIFI (System Average Interruption Frequency Index), showed improvement, while the Customer Average Interruption Duration Index (CAIDI) saw a slight increase.
The number of units sold in the Mumbai distribution circle climbed 4% to 2,508 million units from 2,413 million units a year before. The collection efficiency was recorded at 101.70%. At MPSEZ Utilities Ltd (MUL) in Mundra, sales surged 46% year-on-year to 368 million units from 253 million units, largely due to industrial demand.
In the smart metering segment, Adani Energy Solutions surpassed its goal of installing 1 crore smart meters during the quarter. The company reported an order backlog of 2.46 crore meters with a revenue potential of ₹29,519 crore. The untapped national market opportunity is projected to be around 103 million smart meters.

For the entire financial year FY26, the company’s transmission network grew to 27,949 circuit kilometres, up from 26,696 circuit kilometres in FY25. Power transformation capacity increased to 1,23,175 MVA from 90,236 MVA. Average system availability was reported at 99.70% for FY26, improved from 99.68% the previous year.
In the Mumbai distribution sector, supply reliability advanced to 99.998% from 99.996%. Transmission availability increased to 99.47% from 99.31%. Peak demand throughout the year was noted at 2,171 MW compared to 2,300 MW in FY25.
Reliability metrics showed positive trends, with SAIFI decreasing to 0.42 from 0.67 and SAIDI dropping to 12.91 minutes from 21.27 minutes, while CAIDI came in at 30.82 minutes compared to 31.58 minutes the prior year.
Consumer complaints fell to 3,99,049 in FY26, down from 5,68,037 in FY25. The consumer base expanded to 3.27 million from 3.18 million. Collection efficiency was at 100.54%, compared to 101.03% the previous year. Distribution losses improved to 4.21% from 4.77%. The proportion of e-payments in total collections rose to 85.50% from 83.34%.

Electricity units sold by Adani Electricity Mumbai remained stable at 10,584 million units in FY26, compared to 10,558 million units in FY25. Units sold by MUL increased to 1,375 million units from 948 million units the prior year.
