JSW Motors teams up with Dassault Systèmes to accelerate the development of new energy vehicles.

JSW Motors Limited, the new energy passenger vehicle division of the JSW Group, announced a long-term strategic partnership with Dassault Systèmes on Thursday, March 26, aimed at bolstering its capabilities in vehicle design, engineering, and manufacturing.

This collaboration seeks to enhance the company’s future lineup of new energy vehicles (NEVs) through cutting-edge digital technologies. As part of the alliance, JSW Motors will incorporate Dassault Systèmes’ DELMIA: 3DEXPERIENCE platform as the fundamental digital framework for its operations.

The platform will facilitate the complete vehicle lifecycle, from conception to production, promoting a more cohesive and efficient methodology.

In response to this development, JSW Motors CEO Ranjan Nayak emphasized the company’s commitment to creating a technology-driven mobility ecosystem that is “engineered in India and world-class.”

“We are thrilled to collaborate with Dassault Systèmes from France to integrate its leading digital platform across the vehicle lifecycle, from design through to manufacturing at JSW Motors. We are also engaged in advanced discussions with various domestic suppliers to enhance localization and fortify India’s automotive supply chain. By utilizing top global technologies, we aim to expedite development processes while improving quality,” he stated.

Meanwhile, Dassault Systèmes India Managing Director Deepak NG pointed out that the partnership will empower JSW Motors to navigate the increasing intricacies of software-driven vehicles.

He remarked that the platform will facilitate complete integration across the value chain “from design and engineering to manufacturing and lifecycle management.”

“By creating virtual twins of their products and processes, we will support greater innovation, efficiency, and agility, ensuring scalability and sustained competitiveness in a rapidly changing market,” the managing director further added.

By merging local manufacturing strengths with advanced global technologies, the company aspires to deliver top-quality vehicles tailored to the specific needs of the Indian market, enhancing domestic value generation, supply chain resilience, and industry competitiveness.
