IndiGo Suspends Flights to Tbilisi, Almaty, Baku, and Tashkent Until February 11

IndiGo set to begin daily nonstop flights from Mumbai to Adampur in July 2025.
IndiGo has announced an extension of flight cancellations to Tbilisi, Almaty, Baku, and Tashkent until February 11, due to the ongoing situation in Iran.

The airline indicated that, considering the developments surrounding Iran, it has implemented further changes to its flight schedule.

A message on X from IndiGo stated that all flights to and from Tbilisi (Georgia), Almaty (Kazakhstan), Tashkent (Uzbekistan), and Baku (Azerbaijan) have been cancelled up to February 11.
Flights to these destinations traverse Iranian airspace, and in light of the current circumstances, the airline is circumventing the area.

In a travel advisory, IndiGo mentioned, “Given the developments regarding Iran, we’ve made further adjustments to the schedule of some flights. We prioritize the safety of our customers and crew by taking a cautious and proactive approach. As a result, IndiGo flights to and from Tbilisi, Almaty, Baku, and Tashkent will remain cancelled until February 11, 2026.”

The airline urges customers to visit its website for alternate flight options or to request a full refund.

Typically, flight durations from India to the cancelled destinations range from six to seven hours. IndiGo operates these routes using its A320neo aircraft, which lack the range and fuel capacity necessary for longer alternative routes.

Tensions have intensified between Iran and the United States as protests have surged in Tehran.
