Airport check-in systems encounter problems, leading to flight delays.
Check-in systems at several airports encountered problems on December 3 due to a system outage, according to sources who spoke with PTI. They noted that some flights have experienced delays due to technical difficulties. “Microsoft Windows reports significant service outages worldwide. IT services/check-in systems at airports are impacted,” stated a message for passengers at the Varanasi airport.

As per the message, airlines have resorted to manual check-in and boarding procedures.

At least four airlines—IndiGo, SpiceJet, Akasa Air, and Air India Express—have been impacted, PTI reported.
“This is factually incorrect. No outages reported on Windows,” Microsoft responded to a PTI inquiry.

Specific details could not be obtained immediately.
