Boston Dynamics, owned by Hyundai, introduced its humanoid robot Atlas, which the company claims took thirty years to develop. Additionally, the company presented its dog robots, with six of them synchronously dancing to a K-pop track.

LG, a South Korean electronics giant, also unveiled LG CLOiD, an AI-driven home assistant robot capable of performing everyday tasks like doing laundry, fetching juice boxes from the refrigerator to the table, and folding towels—all with remarkable accuracy.
John Taylor, Senior Vice President of LG Electronics USA, referred to this innovation as a culmination of seven years of research and commercialization, stating that it’s indicative of the “future of robotics in the home”.
“I particularly enjoy watching CLOiD fold towels,” he mentioned. “This has long been a coveted achievement in robotics. We’ve been discussing smart appliances for the past decade, and they are becoming increasingly intelligent.”

The company clarified that CLOiD features two articulated arms and five separately controlled fingers on each hand, granting it the ability to replicate “natural movements” and execute intricate tasks.
Moreover, the robot will improve its performance with repeated use. “CLOiD is engineered to perceive its environment, engage in a more natural, user-friendly manner, and enhance its responses over time through experience—aiming to deliver personalized assistance for daily activities,” LG stated.
Hosted by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), CES 2026 gathers global corporations, startups, and industry leaders to present the latest advancements in consumer technology from January 6 to January 9 in Las Vegas.
