The innovative service retrieves bills in real-time, identifies unusual or inflated charges, and processes payments within limits set by users, as stated by the company. This launch addresses issues like missed due dates and inaccuracies in manual bill management.
“India’s digital public infrastructure has revolutionized payment methods, yet the handling of monthly bills remains a manual task,” Pine Labs CEO B. Amrish Rau remarked. “This agentic experience integrates automation and trust, offering individuals a more intelligent, secure approach to managing their bills.”
Setu mentioned that the system analyzes each bill against historical patterns to identify discrepancies and only executes payments from funds pre-approved by customers. Users can define limits and approvals to prevent incorrect transactions from occurring.
The product will initially launch on OpenAI’s ChatGPT and Anthropic’s Claude, with plans to expand to other AI platforms in subsequent phases. Setu emphasized that this experience is crafted so consumers maintain full control while outsourcing routine tasks.
Setu, operated by BrokenTusk Technologies, a fully owned subsidiary of Pine Labs, delivers API-driven solutions for payments, data, and digital public infrastructure. Its platform facilitates eKYC, account aggregation, underwriting insights, and UPI payment capabilities for banks, lenders, and billers.
