MOIL updates manganese ore pricing for January 2026, with ferro grades increased by 3%.

On Thursday (January 1), state-owned MOIL Ltd announced new pricing and revisions for various grades of manganese ore and other products for the January–March 2026 quarter, with the revised rates taking effect from January 1, 2026, for the month of January.

The company indicated that all Ferro grades of manganese ore with Manganese content of Mn-44% and above will see a 3% increase compared to the prices in effect since December 1, 2025. Likewise, Ferro grades with Manganese content below Mn-44% are also raised by 3% from the same date.

The pricing for SMGR (Mn-30%) and Fines grades was raised by 5% on December 1, 2025. Conversely, SMGR grades with Mn-25% experienced a 5% decrease, while SMGR grades with Mn-20% recorded a 10% drop. Metal Mandi Fines, which include UKF532, DBF575, and MSF592 grades, saw a 10% increase compared to prices established since December 1, 2025. Prices for all Chemical grades remained unchanged from the December 1, 2025, levels.

Additionally, the base price of EMD has been lowered by ₹5,000 per metric tonne, reducing it from ₹1,95,000 per metric tonne to ₹1,90,000 per metric tonne for January 2026. The company mentioned that these adjustments align with its pricing policies and are effective from midnight of December 31, 2025, into January 1, 2026.

MOIL Ltd shares closed at ₹368.95, up by ₹0.40, or 0.11%, on the BSE.
