According to data from the Federal Centre for Agricultural Export Development of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture (Agroexport), the leading financial and trade publication “Vedomosti” highlighted India’s appeal as a market for Russian vodka and other hard liquors.
“During the first 10 months of 2025, Russian spirits manufacturers exported around 520 tonnes of various spirits, encompassing vodka, gin, whiskey, and liqueurs, valued at USD 900,000—this represents a threefold increase in weight and a fourfold rise in value compared to the previous year,” the report stated.

Agroexport suggests that vodka significantly fueled the export surge, with its shipments over the 10 months reaching approximately USD 760,000.
While India ranked 14th in terms of Russian spirits imports from January to October, holding a 1.3 percent share in weight and 1.4-1.5 percent in revenue, the growth rate of exports to India has been the most notable. Other prominent importers of Russian spirits include Kazakhstan, Georgia, China, Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Belarus.
