A second escaped inmate was captured Friday evening, according to the Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Robert Moody was held on illegal carrying of a weapon with narcotics, attempted second degree battery and obstruction.
A Crimestoppers tip led to his arrest in the 3500 block of Second Street in Central City at 7:32 p.m., the sheriff’s office said.
Eight of 10 inmates who escaped from the Orleans Justice Center early Friday morning remain at large. They are Antoine Massey, Lenton Vanburen, Jermaine Donald, Leo Tate, Derrick Groves, Corey Boyd, Gary Price and Decannon Dennis.
Another escapee, Kendell Myles, had been captured by Troop NOLA near the 200 block of Royal Street on Friday morning.
Crimestoppers is offering a $2,000 reward per inmate for information that leads to an arrest, and the FBI is offering a $5,000 reward for tips leading to the arrest of any of the inmates.
