Vivo S2 Set to Launch in India on August 6; Design, Specifications, and Availability Details Uncovered
The Vivo S2 is set to debut in India on August 6, as indicated by recent leaks, marking the return of the company’s S-series smartphones after nearly six years. Ahead of the anticipated launch, various reports have highlighted the handset’s probable sale date, color options, design, and numerous hardware specifications.

Tipster Abhishek Yadav suggests that the smartphone will be available for purchase starting August 11.

The device is rumored to come in 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB storage configurations, as reported by GSMArena.com. Possible colors include Regal Bronze, Sapphire Blue, and Silk White.
In a separate update, dummy units shared by tipster PassionateGeekz provide a clearer look at the phone’s design. The images imply that the Vivo S2 may feature a curved display alongside a centrally located hole-punch selfie camera. It’s also expected to have a polycarbonate frame and rear panel.

Latest leaks point to a 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7360 chipset. The rear camera setup is expected to feature a 50-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera.

Earlier reports suggested a different configuration, indicating that the device might feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor and a triple rear camera system with a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera, and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens. Additionally, it was rumored that the smartphone could be equipped with a 7,000mAh battery.

Tipster Abhishek Yadav mentioned that demo units of the smartphone could be priced between ₹38,000 and ₹42,000, with the 8GB + 128GB variant listed at ₹43,000. “Internal retail listings show demo units priced at ₹38,000 and ₹42,000. The 8GB+128GB retail listing is currently showing ₹43,000. These are internal listing prices, not the final launch prices,” he shared on X earlier.

However, Vivo has yet to officially confirm the launch date, specifications, or pricing for the rumored device.
