On Tuesday, June 16, Wipro Ltd announced the launch of an Applied AI Centre of Excellence (CoE) for Anthropic’s Claude models at its innovation hub in Bengaluru, aiming to enhance enterprise adoption of artificial intelligence, as stated in an exchange filing.

The centre, which is part of Wipro’s newly formed AI-Native Business & Platforms Unit, will concentrate on expanding the application of Anthropic’s Claude AI models within enterprise workflows and specific industry applications, according to the company.

Wipro mentioned that these capabilities will be incorporated into its Wipro Intelligence platform stack, which includes delivery, functional, and industry solutions, assisting clients in integrating AI into essential business processes across various sectors.
In line with this initiative, the company is developing a global team of Forward Deployed Engineers trained on Claude models who will operate within client environments to expedite AI integration and deployment.
The Bengaluru firm indicated that the CoE will also facilitate the creation of AI-native platforms and solutions for sectors such as mortgage services, healthcare, airlines, manufacturing, and consumer markets. Furthermore, Claude models will be utilized across Wipro’s internal finance, human resources, and sales functions as part of a more extensive AI-led transformation.

An essential element of the programme includes certifying 10,000 frontline delivery professionals on the use of Claude models over the next 18 months, with the goal of enhancing Wipro’s AI implementation capabilities in enterprise settings.

“The establishment of the Applied AI Center of Excellence for Claude models signifies a fundamental change in our delivery approach and supports our strategy of being consulting-led and AI-powered,” stated Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Srini Pallia in the filing.
