India defeated Pakistan by 64 runs at the Edgbaston Stadium in Birmingham during their ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 match on Sunday.
The all-rounder Deepti Sharma made a significant impact with her five-wicket haul, limiting Pakistan to 106 runs while they chased the 171-run target set by the Women in Blue.
Batting first, the team led by Harmanpreet Kaur saw opener Smriti Mandhana score an impressive 68 runs, hitting nine fours and two sixes in her innings.
Kaur and Richa Ghosh (34) contributed 70 runs to the total. Ghosh’s innings was quick, finishing in just 17 balls, featuring five fours and a six before being bowled out by Fatima Sana.
