Atlanta Electricals secures ₹285 crore contract from Punjab transmission utility for 23 power transformers.
Atlanta Electricals Ltd, a manufacturer of power, auto, and inverter duty transformers, announced on Wednesday (June 3) that it has received a Letter of Award from Punjab State Transmission Corporation Ltd (PSTCL) for the supply of 23 units of 160 MVA, 220/66 kV power transformers along with NIFPES and optional spares.

The total order is valued at ₹285.15 crore, which includes applicable taxes. This figure consists of ₹284.51 crore for the power transformers and NIFPES, and ₹63.66 lakh for optional spares. The company indicated that a detailed purchase order will be issued according to the tender’s terms and conditions.

Atlanta Electricals has been partnered with Punjab State Transmission Corporation Ltd since 2018, having provided around 200 transformers with a total installed capacity of about 5,000 MVA throughout Punjab.

The company remarked that this new order enhances its footprint in Punjab, which is a key market for its operations.

As of fiscal 2025, Atlanta Electricals is considered one of the top manufacturers of power, auto, and inverter duty transformers in India by production volume.

The company was among the few in India capable of manufacturing transformers with capacities of up to 200 Mega Volt-Amp (MVA) and voltages of 220 kilovolts (kV) prior to the acquisition of BTW-Atlanta Transformers India and the launch of their Vadod Unit.

Shares of Atlanta Electricals Ltd closed at ₹2,052.40, up by ₹97.70, or 5.00%, on the BSE.
