”I extend my heartfelt wishes to them; we are confident they will meet the expectations and dreams of the Tamil Nadu populace, working diligently to fulfill the ambitious vision for welfare and pro-people governance established by LOP Sh Rahul Gandhi ji,” Venugopal remarked.
The Congress holds five seats in the Tamil Nadu assembly following the recent elections, in which the party joined forces with the DMK in a pre-poll alliance.

Nevertheless, after Vijay’s TVK fell short of a majority in the 234-member Tamil Nadu assembly, the Congress offered its support for the formation of the government led by actor-turned-politician C Joseph Vijay.
