SRH Raises RCB Match Ticket Prices by Up to 110% for IPL 2026 Due to High Demand in Hyderabad

Here's the reason the BCCI imposed a ₹12 lakh penalty on Pat Cummins.
As the race for the IPL 2026 Playoffs heats up in the latter stages of the league, the matchup between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bengaluru on May 22 is poised to be a crucial contest for securing a top-two position. With heightened excitement surrounding the event, the franchise has notably increased ticket prices for its final home game at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Hyderabad.

Ticket sales commenced at 5 pm IST on Friday through the Zomato District app, with the waiting list reportedly surpassing 2.60 lakh users. Additionally, the sold-out notification appeared mere minutes after ticket sales began.

Previously priced between Rs 950 and Rs 30,000, ticket prices have now been adjusted to range from Rs 2,000 to Rs 45,000. Several categories have experienced significant hikes, including South First Terrace tickets, which have jumped from Rs 1,500 to Rs 3,000, reflecting a 100 per cent increase.
The cheapest upper-tier seats, initially priced at Rs 900, now cost Rs 2,000, marking a 110 per cent rise. Corporate box tickets, which were previously priced at Rs 30,000, have also seen a 50 per cent surge to Rs 45,000.

This steep increase has sparked frustration among fans and local social media influencers, who have taken to various platforms to voice their discontent. Reports also indicate that the high demand is being exploited in secondary markets, with inflated prices being shared on platforms like Reddit.

The match is anticipated to feature numerous international stars, including former India captain Virat Kohli, whose presence continues to be highly coveted following his retirement from Test and T20I formats in recent years.
