"Fortunate Play": Jos Buttler Refuses to Take Praise for Key Run Out Against Gujarat Titans
After a lengthy stretch of subpar performance, Jos Buttler found his form again by scoring 52 off 27 balls against the Delhi Capitals (DC) in New Delhi on Wednesday. The match concluded dramatically with his run out off the final ball, which sent Kuldeep Yadav back to the pavilion and prevented DC from tying the game.

DC required two runs to secure victory off the last two deliveries. David Miller opted against taking a single on the second-to-last delivery and then failed to connect with a slower bouncer from Prasidh Krishna. Buttler skillfully gathered the ball behind the batter and hit the stumps, securing the two points for the Titans.

“Great to get the win, blind squirrels and all that,” Buttler remarked. “Very fortunate throw but, of course, I’m thrilled. We really needed a win, and I’m glad we pulled it off.”
Returning to scoring runs was a relief for the 35-year-old.
“(Feeling) good, I’ve been searching for them for a while. I felt in good form actually since I’ve been here,” he mentioned.

“Having played for long enough, I know it will come back eventually. You just have to keep working through it.”

Gujarat, champions of the IPL in their inaugural season in 2022, moved up to sixth in the standings and are set to face the Lucknow Super Giants on Sunday.

GT will take on the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the Ekana Stadium on April 12 in the next match. The Titans began their campaign poorly with consecutive defeats, but this victory over the Capitals should boost their confidence as they aim to build momentum for the remaining phases of the tournament.
